Chips with everything (well, almost everything) CAN BUS CHIPS NOW AVAILABLE, CALL FOR APPLICATIONS The speedo cable went out with white tennis balls and almost all Japanese speedos are driven by an electronic signal even though they usually have an analogue display. This gives them superb accuracy, electronics are spot on accurate and cables were not, and you will understand that if the speed of that signal is slowed down by the correct ratio it will give you a speedo and odometer that read in miles per hour. We manufacture the electronics to do that job and it is usually a fairly easy job to fit them, In all cases the fitting of the converter will also remove the top speed limit that is on all Japanese cars but special chips are needed for the GTO, 4 litre Soarer, Forester, Supra VVT etc. All the electronic units come with a wiring diagram and you have full technical back up from us and, as a last resort, our electronic designer. After fitting the electronic module your speedo will read in true mph and in many cases we have made a new speedo face to replace the old one and that is supplied free of charge. If we have not yet made the new face we will sent you a small sticker to go over the 5mm print that says km/h to change it to mph. Certain models have to be done with this sticker as it is just not possible to remove the needle without damaging the unit. The early Nissans are like this, including the Pulsar and Skyline, and you should not try to remove the face on these models and never on the Prelude or Amazon. Care is always needed when removing a speeds needle and we are the only firm to supply free, the proper tool to do that job. When you have done the job give us a call with the chassis number and the indicated KM and we will mail you a mileage certificate to show the true mileage of the car, it's better than clocking it. Please beware of other firms offering cheap electronic devices; you can cause major damage by using them. The car has to be looked at as a system, not just a speedo, and we know of GTO/FTO gear boxes being ruined, for example, by cheap electronic devices that sent corrupt signals to the ECU. We have looked at all the competing products and none of them measure up to ours and some of them are positively amateurish in both construction and design. It is just not worth taking the risk with these shoddy products as the results of using them can be disastrous! In the case of cars with active spoilers or 4w/s the end result can be dangerous and, as a dealer, you could be liable civilly or criminally if an accident was caused, Our technician has spent two years developing and testing these products and nothing is released for sale until we are 100% sure that it is right. |
