Side repeaters We sell a really nice little pair for £6.00 (trade price is £50 for ten pairs) that have a round shaft so all you need to do is drill the wing (22 mm) For the SVA test you will have to fit repeaters to Lucidas and to an MR2 and some other models. Use a bent welding rod to pull the wire through to the front indicators and just wire them in parallel, easy job. For a fiver a pair you couldn't even buy them out of a breaker's yard, could you?
Better still are these universal fit flush side repeaters. They also just require the drilling of a 22mm hole and come with a self adhesive gasket/seal. These units are far more in keeping with modern styling, are E' marked and can also be used as front side lights on certain imported vehicles where angles of visibility are an issue (34 Skylines, GTO's, American vehicles etc)
TIP Don't forget, when drilling holes in bodywork it is essential to remove any burrs and use a good anti rust paint to any bare metal. We would reccomend at least 2 coats with sufficent drying time in between. A little effort now will save yuo ££££££'s in the future have rust repairs carried out. |
